I personally really enjoyed this plant based tuna, plenty of protein, high in omega 3's and a nice fish/seafood taste. I find it goes very well in a sandwich with some vegan mayo or on a jacket potato. Currently one of my favourite fish substitutes and miles better than tuno.
It doesn't taste anything like fish and has an odd chemical taste to it
Give it a try and make your own mind up.
Out of all three varieties this is my favourite. Having previously tried other offerings of 'tuna' on the market I didn't have high expectations. I am really impressed. Just like tuna it has a flaky appearance and colour and the texture although quite firm is perfectly acceptable.
Chew up some cardboard, it will taste the same and you can get it for free!
miniscule amount of tuna in this pack. Looks more like a sachet of cat food. Poor value for money.
Probably an acquired taste
I like it! I've seen lots of negative reviews for these. It's probably one of those that's better if you are veggie / vegan as you're not going to get an exact match for real tuna. It's quite 'fishy (but this is exactly what I'm looking for in a vegan fish substitute!) and the texture is very nice - firm but flaky. Much much nicer than another vegan tuna alternative that's available at the moment. I had this with Hellmans vegan mayo - yummers. Cons - it's pricey for the size of the package
The worst vegetarian product I've ever tasted. I've tried all of the vegetarian products in Tesco and this is the worst ever it's like eating paper soaked in oil and smells like a car engine oil. Plant chef range is amazing!
