Preparation and Usage

  • Live top tips:
  • - Always perform an allergy alert test 48 hours prior to colouring
  • - For long or thick hair we recommended using two packs
  • - This shade is recommended for hair colours bleached blonde to medium brown
  • - Results may vary on previously coloured hair
  • - Use a clarifying/deep cleanse shampoo 48 hours prior to application
  • - Check application range to ensure your natural hair is suitable for your chosen shade
  • 1. Preparation:
  • - Always perform an Allergy Alert Test 48 hours before each time you colour, even if you've used the product before
  • - Before applying your colour, cover your clothing with an old towel/cape and put on gloves provided
  • - Apply to dry, unwashed hair
  • 2. Mixing:
  • - Unscrew nozzle of Developer Lotion. Pierce the Live Colour Cream tube and carefully squeeze the entire contents into the Developer Lotion bottle
  • - Replace the application nozzle and shake until all components are thoroughly mixed
  • 3. Application:
  • - Follow application process for either first-time or root regrowth application
  • - Leave formula to develop for 20-30 minutes
  • 4. Rinsing:
  • - Rinse hair under warm water until water runs clear
  • 5. Conditioning:
  • - Apply Live Care Conditioner and leave in for 2 minutes
  • - Rinse thoroughly, hair is left feeling soft and shiny
  • The colour result will depend on your natural hair colour. The table on the back of the pack provides an indication of the colour result that can be obtained with this shade. Results may vary on previously coloured hair. For long or thick hair we recommend using two packs.

Great colour doesn't last

I brought this 2-3weeks ago I died my hair 16 days ago I love the colour that originally came out. However this stated it was a permanent dye after using live hair dye in the past I knew that the colours always stuck with my hair. However it's 16 days on and my hair has faded drastically!

Last week I bought this to dye my hair, with about 10% my hair grey, and overgrown highlights, I was hopping for blending and to add more glow to my hair. I get color from the box only on my bleached ends but ok greys are covered and the rest of hair just pulled out my red undertone. I am aware that my hair is brown with lots of red pigment, and I was satisfied mostly with the result. What I wasn't expected was that 3 days later with first washing my hair after dying it to color almost completely wash off . Some traces of color was only left on bleached highlights but I expect that next time I wash it will come off too. Pretty disappointed, complete waste of my time and money for nothing, permanent color this isn't.

Just dyed my hair and I'm very dissapointed. I have medium brown hair, the picture on the box shows even darker color turning grey, but for me nothing changed. Very disappointing.

Perfect result for me!

I’ve been baby blonde for years, I wanted to go silver / grey without having to bleach my hair first, so I tried this, it didn’t come out the colour the box recommended, but it turned out perfect for me! I now have dark blonde hair (my natural colour so no more roots 👐🏻 with tones of silver grey, it looks professionally done. Great result by luck!

I am using this for a half year and I get exactly the same colour. I had very blonde (almost white) hair colour before the first time and now, I am colouring my roots with blonde hair colour before using Live. My natural hair is very blonde.

I used to dye my hair a very dark brown but since going grey I've tried finding a lighter, more natural blend, so the grey roots won't show as much. Unfortunately all the so called 'ash blond' dyes just turned out a dirty yellow. The clearly unrealistic cover photo on the box of this "Dusty Silver" combined with the bad reviews made it difficult to know what to expect, but I decided to give it the benifit of the doubt. I couldn't be happier I did! The result is EXACTLY the icy, natural brown/grey blend I was trying to achieve, and my hair feels soft and shiny. This colour is beautiful, the packaging just needs better example pictures and instructions, so people can make an informed decision and know what to expect!

I originally had bleach blonde hair, then used this yes I went abit dark at first but after a few washes it went lighter, Iv been using this for about a year now and even when it's fully faded to a light blonde/brown it takes to my hair no problem. Leaves my hair feeling so soft after too.
