Always good and fresh
I've been buying this for a few years now and have never had a bad one. I use it to make a delicious herbal tea, reputed to help with arthritis (I can't verify if it makes any difference or not as so many different factors affect pain levels but I enjoy the tea anyway!), with organic raw honey and fresh lemon slices. As it's not always available I'll buy a few packets at a time and just throw them in the freezer, along with the de-pipped and sliced lemons. The leaves can easily crumble when frozen (I use a perforated spoon-shaped straw to avoid a mouthful) but I don't think the process changes the flavour and it's great to have this vibrant green herb on hand for other uses too.
Wilted and brown, it went straight in the bin
Nothing wrong with this herb when it is delivered fresh but mine wasn't. It arrived less than 2 hours before its best by date and was wilted and brown at the edges. There was no alternative but to bin it. So much for making my get ahead stuffing!
Usually a strong herb with an identifiable smell. However, this smelt of mint although labelled as sage and leaves replicated those of sage. Not very good for stuffing!!
