Delicious sparkling Italian red wine. Unique.
We used to drink Lambrusco on our many trips to Italy in the 1960s and fell in love with it. This wine was not known Over here at that time, we tried every where but gave up in the end, but now see that it is very popular now in England. Please, please when will you be getting it in stock again.
Great wine!
When will this be available again? A lovely wine! Great with deserts or any other time when you want a sweet light wine to play with your taste buds.
Great wine - pity about the cork!
Lovely wine, and not too alcoholic at 8%. slight fizz and slightly sweet. Serve chilled. There's only one problem, and that is with the cork; the cork is so tightly fitted into the bottle that it is really hard to get out. After breaking my first corkscrew, and rendering the other one useless, I purchased one that was up to the task, although this was still a challenge each time I opened a bottle. Just as I was getting the hang of this, the last bottle I opened exploded in my hands, and I was left with the top of the bottle, and splinters of glass in my hand.
At long last
Bellissimo. Finally a ‘proper’ Lambrusco, it is a fantastic full flavoured, semi sparkling red. It reminders me of being in Italy.
Lovely wine for drinking in summer
This wine should be served chilled, with or without food. Very easy to drink. Slightly sweet, and very slightly fizzy. Only 8% so not strong. I bought a couple of cases when it was reduced, but it's proved to be so popular with my friends that I am going to have to order some more. Still good value at £42 a case. My only problem was with getting the cork out! I broke my first corkscrew, and I have to admit, I am having difficulty with my other corkscrews, but it's worth the effort!
Foaming bitter cherries
The fizzy wine has a big gentle mouthfeel and a great taste of bitter cherries accompanied by a bit of sweetness and tennin. Lovely to accompany food It's a delight so all praise to Tesco for stocking a wine style that has been much debased in the past..
A winner
Mildly alcoholic, very slightly fizzy, goes down like juice with a plus. Delicious and a winner as an aperitif but also with summer fare. Should be served chilled. We keep running out and having to reorder ...
