Best Tea Ever, Love it!
Best tea Ever, please keep it in stock.
Previous version was MUCH better
I used to drink this all of the time but, around mid 2020, it was unavailable for a long time and has now been relaunched. The new (current) version is far weaker than the old and has nowhere near as much flavour. Disappointing on the whole.
Wishy washy and synthetic.
I used to love these tea bags however since they have changed the packaging the taste and strength has altered dramatically. They are weak and synthetic tasting. Truly horrible. I will be taking back for a refund.
Weak tea with a hint of chai
The tea was washed out (leaving for longer doesn't help) and I am used to a more rounded spice flavour.
Such a warming flavour
A good quality tea with such a warming flavour
This Chai tea is not for me.
I regularly drink Chai tea both at home and abroad (France and Spain). In the UK Pukka is my favourite but I also like to try store versions. The Tesco Chai was a first for me. Never again!! That said, I have never been to India to taste their versions so this review is based purely on my personal taste. I find Pukka a delicate flavour whereas the Tesco Chai is too heavy/strong for me. Just because it does not suit me it may suit you very well so still worth a try. Especially as it is half the price of Pukka!

Another product that was really good, taken off the shelves and an inferior version replaces it. Why do tescos always do this?

This new recipe does not live up to the version previous to this (the one which came in square bags). That one was so full of flavour and was aromatic. This one almost just tastes like any bog standard tea bag. Please bring back old recipe - this is a vast disappointment!
Recipe has changed recently and is now pretty bad.
It's a huge shame that this disappeard for a month or so, when it came back to the shelves recently it tastes completely different!! It used to have a strong spiced flavour, now it's weak and tastes like fake vanilla - I can't understand because 1. there's no vanilla in the ingredients and 2. you already sell a Vanilla Chai, so why change the original Chai? Very disappointed, please bring back the old recipe.
Fine by me.
I almost didn't buy this tea because of some of the very negative comments below, but in the end I'm glad I did. True it isn't as good as Twinings, which I'm sad my local Tesco seems to no longer stock, but it's a pretty good substitute and I'm happy enough to keep drinking it. Positively I would say that there might even be an advantage. Because it's not as "big" as Twinings I'm finding it more of a regular refreshment drink than the an Event, so it adds spice to regular tea and I'm using it more than I would Twinings.
