Great Tom Yum base.
Great Tom Yum base.

Used it to make soup for 2, so used half a jar as it is supposedly 4 servings. Very weak, and all I could taste was chilli and, bizarrely, a strong flavour of rosewater!. Back to making from scratch.
A good start to a decent soup.
A pretty decent base to a decent Tom Yum soup (especially given how some ingredients can be tricky to get your hands on these days). Similar to the previous reviewer, I found myself adding bits and bobs from the spice cupboard to crank up the flavour but I won't hold that against it. Sometimes, it's nice to experiment and personalise a dish and it's a lot easier to add more heat than it is to take it out.
A Good Kick Start For Your Own Tom Yum
My oriental soups using this taste right - or to my taste they are. Tom yum flavour varies a lot anyway and these contents seem right to me. I add ginger and garlic - and chili too for the extra zing - and extra lime leaves - so it jolly well ought to taste right. Now I feel hungry.

Not Tom Yum paste!
Not a good paste, not right flavour and far too small. Please go back to larger pot made in Thailand, please!
Bitter taste - brown. Not authentic

Best ever for Tom Yum soup
Have tried lots of pastes and even tried making my own sauce from scratch, but this beats everything. It's fruity, spicy and full of taste with a real kick, and it's the best base for making Tom Yum soup!
