Find out more about GetGo

GetGo is a checkout-free shopping experience available in certain Tesco Express stores. Once you’ve signed up for GetGo, just scan your QR code at either the entrance or exit, depending on the store, and shop as usual. Using a combination of cameras and weight sensors, GetGo stores can tell what you’ve picked up and will charge you automatically when you leave the store.

Open the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app and create or sign into your Tesco account. From the settings menu, switch on GetGo and follow the instructions to set up your account. You’ll be asked to choose a default payment method and create or sign in to your free Clubcard account. After that, just tap 'Shop with GetGo’ whenever you’re ready to start shopping.

When you sign up for GetGo, you'll choose a default GetGo payment method in the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app. This card will be charged automatically when you leave the store. You’ll also need a free Clubcard account, which you can create online or in the app in just a few minutes.

After you leave the store, we'll email you an electronic receipt. You can also see a list of your purchases in the 'My Orders' section of the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app. If you notice a problem with your receipt, go to the 'My Orders' section in the app and request an amendment. If you were charged in error, you'll receive a refund within 3 working days.

With the exception of High Holborn Express, you can choose to use GetGo or another checkout method, including self-service and attended checkouts.

GetGo locations carry the same great range you'll find in our Tesco Express stores. Age-restricted products are kept in a separate section, which you can shop as you normally would. A colleague will be on hand to check your age if necessary.
