Description

Bumper Crop Bulb Top Up Fertiliser & Feed is a highly effective slow-release fertiliser designed to support the healthy growth and development of bulbous plants, crops and flowering plants. It can also be used as a base dressing when re-seeding lawns and garden grass, helping to establish strong, healthy growth from the outset. This versatile fertiliser is ideal for onions, shallots, leeks and garlic, as well as a wide range of flowering bulbs including tulips, iris, hyacinths and daffodils. The high phosphorus content promotes strong bulb formation and helps strengthen stems, while potassium aids disease resistance and overall plant health. A steady supply of nitrogen encourages vigorous growth and plays a vital role in chlorophyll production, helping plants develop lush, green foliage throughout the growing season. In addition to bulb crops and flowers, Bumper Crop Bulb Top Up is an excellent fertiliser for trees, shrubs and bushes, helping them establish strong root systems, produce healthy foliage and support abundant flowering. The fertiliser contains 5.0% Nitrogen (N), 19.0% Phosphorus Pentoxide (P₂O₅) equivalent to 8.1% Phosphorus (P), 10.0% Potassium Oxide (K₂O) equivalent to 8.3% Potassium (K), and 3.0% Magnesium (Mg). Of the phosphorus content, 17.6% P₂O₅ (7.5% P) is water soluble and immediately available to plants, while 1.4% P₂O₅ (0.6% P) is water insoluble, providing a sustained nutrient supply over time. Recommended application rates for onions, leeks, garlic, shallots and bulbous flowering plants are 70-100g per square metre as a base dressing and 35-70g per square metre as a top dressing. Trees and shrubs should be treated at 70g per square metre, while pit planting and young trees require 70-140g per square metre. Mature trees should receive 100-140g per square metre. Turf grasses prior to reseeding and land reclamation projects should be treated at a rate of 100g per square metre for best results.
