Description

Introduce a splash of vibrant colour to your garden with the Thuja occidentalis 'Sunkist', an award-winning conifer renowned for its striking orange-yellow foliage. This slow-growing evergreen shrub has been recognised with an RHS Award of Garden Merit, a testament to its outstanding garden performance. Its naturally dense, pyramid shape provides excellent structure, making it a versatile choice for specimen planting, formal hedges, or even container displays. The foliage transforms from a bright lemon-yellow in spring to a rich orange-yellow in winter, offering year-round visual interest. How to Grow: - Light: Plant in full sun to achieve the best foliage colour and vigorous growth. - Soil: Adaptable to various soil types including acidic, alkaline, and neutral, provided they are well-drained. - Watering: Water regularly during establishment, ensuring the soil does not become waterlogged. - Feeding: Apply a balanced fertilizer in spring to encourage healthy development. - Hardiness: This variety is hardy and can tolerate cold temperatures, though young plants may benefit from some protection from harsh, drying winds. This plant is supplied as a single potted specimen, ready for planting. Images are for illustrative purposes only and show mature plants. Actual appearance may vary depending on the season and cultivation conditions. Decorative pots are not included.
