Preparation and Usage

Heston's suggestionsYou can microwave your pudding but, if you've got the time, why not steam it? That slow process really brings out the flavours, and adds to the excitement of anticipation.Set your pudding on fire! Gently warm plenty of brandy, pour it over the pud and carefully put a match to it. It's a great bit of theatre and that alcohol will give an extra layer of flavour.And instead of cream, give crème fraîche a go, which'll add a lovely tang.

Cooking Instructions

Instructions: Take care when removing film lid as hot steam will escape.Check product is piping hot before serving.Do not reheat.We have given you these heating instructions as a guide only.

Steam

Instructions: Do not remove the film lid. Place the pudding basin in a steamer or saucepan with a trivet or upturned heat resistant saucer under the pudding. Fill the pan with water so that it comes halfway up the pudding. Cover and steam for 2 hours. Do not allow water to enter the pudding and do not allow the pan to boil dry.
