Regional Information

The 2024 growing season across South Australia was characterised by a warm, even ripening period following a relatively dry winter and spring, resulting in modest yields and strong fruit concentration. Mild flowering supported good fruit set, while a warm but rarely extreme summer allowed steady flavour accumulation and preserved natural acidity. Harvest was slightly compressed, requiring careful picking to capture freshness and varietal definition.

History

Bin 8 has been crafted in the traditional Penfolds style. Ripe, balanced fruit flavours are supported by softly integrated oak, resulting in an impressive, smooth red wine. It was introduced in response to a heightened interest in Shiraz and Cabernet blends, a classic Australian wine style.
