Preparation and Usage

Allow the shanks to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.

Other

Instructions: Pre-heat frying pan with 2 tbsp. (30ml) of oil to a medium heat.Place lamb shanks in the pan and cook for 5 minutes, turn occasionally.Transfer lamb shanks in a roasting tray, add 500ml water or stock, cover with foil and place in the centre of a pre-heated oven.OVEN 160°C / Fan 140°C / Gas 3Cook for 1 hour 30 minutes - 2 hours.Remove from the oven and rest for 2 minutes.

Storage

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 24 hours in the fridge. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 1 day and by ‘use by’ date shown.
