Description

White WineA mineral Chardonnay of lively grace, balanced acidity and a fresh, yet complex palate. Notes of citrus fruit, pear and white peach come together with almond and vanilla flavours, suggestive of its Oak ageing.
Another chapter of a story that began in 1996, when we set apart the 20 best barrels provided by that year's harvest, and bottled them on their own. From then until now, this range continues to convey our profound commitment to terroir expression and enological excellence.

Regional Information

The Casablanca Valley has a cold Mediterranean climate, strongly influenced by the icy Humboldt Current, which originates in Antarctica and cools the Chilean coast as it passes. This influence results in mist, abundant cloud cover, and cool breezes throughout the year, favoring a relatively late harvest. A natural cradle for Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Noir.

Vinification Details

The grapes were 100% harvested by hand on 14th March 2025 and were fermented for 25 days at 13.5 C. 100% barrel fermentation. 86% of the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 6 months and 14% in concrete eggs for the same period.

History

Cono Sur Vineyards & Winery was founded in 1993, with the vision of producing premium, expressive and innovative wines that convey the spirit of the New World. The company distinguishes itself by three main features: the creative use of technology, orientation towards quality and respect for the environment. Cono Sur´s name refers the company´s geographic position, representing wines proudly made in South America´s southern cone, on whose western edge lies Chile and its gifted wine valleys.
