Pepto Bismol PROTEC C/TING P/MINT 12 TBLTS Pepto-Bismol 262.5mg Chewable Tablets provide relief for five common digestive issues: Nausea, Heartburn, Indigestion, Upset Stomach, and Diarrhoea. Pepto-Bismol can be taken at the first signs of symptoms for effective relief. Each tablet of Pepto Bismol contains Bismuth Subsalicylate, a well researched active ingredient that works by coating your stomach and lower gut to relieve discomfort from overindulgence in food and drink. How to use. Dosage: Take 1 dose (2 chewable tablets) every 30-60 minutes as needed, up to 8 doses (16 chewable tablets) in 24 hours. Safety warnings: Not for children under 16 years of age. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not use for more than 2 days except on the advice of a doctor. Keep all medicines out of reach and sight of children

Ingredients

Each tablet contains bismuth subsalicylate 262.5 mg. Also contains sodium, aspartame (E951) and amaranth (E123).

Preparation and Usage

Dosage: Adults and Children 16 years and over only. Chew or dissolve 2 tablets (one dose) in your mouth. Repeat the dose every 30-60 minutes if needed. Do not take more than 16 tablets (8 doses) in 24 hours. Do not exceed the stated dose. Do not take for more than 2 days. Only use as directed. If used for longer than 2 days or at higher doses than recommended there is an increased possibility of severe side effects. Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.

Do not take if you are: under 16 years, due to a possible link between salicylates and Reye's syndrome (a very rare but very serious disease); allergic to bismuth subsalicylate, salicylates including aspirin or any of the other ingredients; taking other salicylates including aspirin; pregnant or breast-feeding; or if you have a stomach ulcer, blood clotting disorders or bloody or black stool. Do not use and ask a doctor or pharmacist for advice before use if you: have fever, mucus in your stools, a blood clotting disorder or gout; or if you are taking medicines for thinning the blood (anticoagulants), diabetes, gout, arthritis (methotrexate), or tetracycline antibiotics. If you have diarrhoea, it is important to prevent or treat dehydration by drinking plenty of fluids or taking oral rehydration products, especially if you are frail or elderly. Keep out of the sight and reach of children Do not store above 25°C.
