South Africa's Western Cape enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with warm, dry summers moderated by cooling Atlantic and Indian Ocean breezes. Diverse soils and strong coastal influences help produce vibrant, expressive red wines with ripe fruit and fresh acidity.

Vinification Details

The grapes were hand-harvested from Heritage Certified Bush Vines and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine was then aged for 12 months in concrete tanks and French oak.

History

At the heart of the Cape Winelands, Kleine Zalze is a proudly Stellenbosch wine estate with a legacy dating back to 1695. Rooted in tradition yet driven by progress, the estate produces honest, authentic wines that express place, precision and purpose.
