Description

Hardneck variety 'Rose Wight' - 2 garlic bulbs (approx. 20–25 cloves total). This pink-striped, white-cloved garlic delivers large, high-yield bulbs with an early harvest and intense flavour. Easy to grow in an open, sunny spot with well-drained, fertile soil; tolerant and low maintenance. Plant September to January, 2 cm deep with 15 cm spacing and 30 cm between rows, protect young shoots with horticultural fleece and remove scapes early to encourage bulb development. Stores well for winter use and perfect for adding bold garlic flavour to your cooking.

Product Care InstructionsPrepare soil: choose an open, sunny site with light, free-draining soil. For heavy soil, dig in grit and organic matter to improve drainage. Avoid very heavy or freshly manured soil. If soil is acidic, add garden lime well before planting or use a slow-release feed when planting. Plant cloves pointed end up, 2cm below soil surface, spacing 15cm apart with 30cm between rows. Cover with horticultural fleece to protect emerging shoots from birds. Remove scapes early to encourage bulb growth.
