Photinia 'Red Robin' is the best-known of its species, celebrated for its vibrant scarlet young foliage in spring. The glossy new leaves and crimson stems create a striking contrast with the mature green foliage below, producing an eye-catching two-tone effect. In spring, this foliage is further enhanced by rounded clusters of creamy white flowers. This popular evergreen shrub is versatile, making it perfect for adding a splash of spring color to woodland areas and shrubberies or growing as a low-maintenance specimen plant. The colorful RHS AGM variety also tolerates hard pruning, making it a useful evergreen hedge.
