Bright pink blooms adorn the long branches of Weigela Florida 'Magical Rainbow' from May to June, replaced by eye-catching variegated foliage for the rest of the year. The leaves turn from a green and yellow mix to a pink tinge throughout the summer. Easy to grow and maintain, this hardy shrub is well suited to both a container and a mixed border, looking fabulous in wildlife gardens.Ideal For: Cottage Gardens, Wildlife Gardens, Specimen PlantHardiness: HardyPosition In: Full sun, sun or semi shadeHeight: Up to 120cmSpread: Up to 120cmGrow Weigela in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Weigela at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Weigela requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
