Unwins Spring Onion Apache have attractive purple skins with a lovely crisp texture and a mild flavour.

This award-winning variety is quick and easy to grow and also suitable for container growing. Apache holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Tip: try growing onions with mint to help deter onion fly.

Sowing Outdoors
Sow thinly in pre-watered shallow drills and cover with a little more soil. Allow 20 cm between rows. Keep soil moist until seedlings are established. Sow little and often for a continuous supply throughout the summer.
