Description

Grow delicious blackcurrants on your patio with Marshalls Garden 'Titania'. This standard-trained variety produces large, juicy, glossy black berries from July through August, with a rich, tart flavour and vitamin C—perfect for cooking, purées, yoghurt, ice cream, pies, jams and juices; the berries also freeze well. The single clear stem and formed head create a striking upright form that is easy to pick and prune and improves air circulation to reduce disease risk. Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil rich in organic matter (pH 6.0–7.0); expected height about 1.2 m. Pruning: trim vigorous non-fruiting shoots back to the head in July, then halve shoots or reduce to the desired head size in winter. Supplied as 1 x 3L standard plant.
