Description

Marshalls Garden Celery 'Hadrian' F1 — 100 seeds. This variety produces tall green stems with excellent flavour, a long harvest window and good resistance to fusarium and bolting. Plants reach approximately 45cm in height and are less prone to side shoots, giving a tidy crop that stores well.Sowing: fill a module tray with seed compost, firm using the base of another tray, and water. Sow seeds individually, covering with 0.5cm (¼ in) compost. Place in a propagator at 15–20°C (60–70°F) or cover with cling film and keep in a warm room. Keep moist.Growing on and planting out: when shoots appear remove the film and keep seedlings in a bright position shaded from direct sun. Maintain a minimum temperature of 10°C (50°F) and harden off before planting out. Transplant when seedlings have four leaves, spacing plants 25cm (10in) apart and keep well watered during dry spells.
