Lochlea - Cask Strength Batch 3 Single Malt Scotch Whisky Batch 3 in the Cask Strength Collection from Lochlea was matured in a combination of sherry and ex-Islay bourbon barrels. The resulting dram is a beautiful balance between the the signature richness the cask strength releases have become known for, and a surprising yet subtle twist of smoke.Nose: Rich and juicy, with lots of ripe red fruits, and a hint of smoky bacon.Palate: Cherries, ripe berries, ginger cake, dark sugar, dark rye & BBQ smoke.Finish: Long & rich, with baking spice, salty smoke, red roses & oaky tannins woven through
