Laphroaig - Elements 2.0 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | Multi | Cask Strength | 70cl | 700

To create the second edition to the Elements collection, the Laphroaig distillery team were given free rein to produce something unexpected that embodies the Laphroaig profile while adding new dimensions of flavour.

Instead of the usual 55 hour fermentation, Elements 2.0 is created from a number of longer fermentations; this ranges up to almost five full days in the tun, for a total of 115 hours. This is specially aerated to maintain mash conditions, like the practices of old. This unprecedented fermentation emphasises the fruitier notes of this exceptional Islay Single Malt, whilst maintaining Laphroaig’s signature peaty character.

Nose: Fruity and subtly coastal. Stewed apples, vanilla custard and zesty orange peel with subtle peaty notes.

Taste: Fruity, sweet and salty. Green apples and runny honey with cream soda and soft peatiness of a smoldering bonfire and smoked seafood.

Finish: Sweet with an increasingly warming smokiness to finish.
