Its delicate balance of sweet and sharpness makes it a distinguished aperitif, perfect to have on its own or paired with food, as a refined alternative to wine. Showerings carries hints of vanilla and bitter orange from the juice of aromatic late-season Dabinett apples.
The Showering family has been making award-winning Somerset cider for over 180 years. From winning Gold at the 1950 Brewers Exhibition to a 2023 Great Taste Award and Gold at IWSC 2023, the accolades recognise their long-held cider making traditions. The family’s triple vintage blend has been made with apples from Somerset’s finest terroir and production techniques passed down through generations and perfected over time.
The creation of Showerings is close to viticulture in spirit and execution. It is made with as much love, experience, patience and attention to detail. Showerings uses aromatic late-season Dabinett apples from a single award-winning orchard in Somerset, the temperate heartland of British cidermaking and just seven miles from Showering’s cider mill. Cherished for their perfect balance of sugars and tannins, these apples are nurtured by an expert horticulturalist and harvested once a year and only at the point of perfect ripeness. Enabling a better future is our responsibility which is why sustainability informs all aspects of our business.
