Skin-on, smoked and dyed herring (Clupea harengus) fillets with butter.Our Scottish kippers are from specially selected herring caught at the beginning of the season when fat and size are at optimal levels. Once butterflied the are delicately smoked over oak by a fourth generation family owned smokery in the north east Scotland. Our herring comes from an MSC approved fishery. Instructions: Temperature: High Pre-heat grill to high heat. Remove all packaging. Line base of grill tray with foil, place fish directly on a tray. Place the butter on top of fillet, grill for 7 to 8 minutes. Turn once. Do not reheat.

Storage

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 8 hours in the fridge. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 1 day and by ‘use by’ date shown.
