Oven

Instructions: 190°C/Fan170°C/Gas 5 40 mins per kg + 20-30 mins. Remove outer packaging, leave chicken in the foil tray and dispose of packaging carefully. Place foil tray on a baking tray in centre of a pre-heated oven and cook for 40 minutes per kg plus 20-30 minutes, basting occasionally (refer to guidelines on front of label). Cover with foil towards end of cooking time if the skin is becoming too brown. Take care when removing the chicken from the oven as there will be some hot juices within the foil tray. Allow to stand for 5-10 minutes before carving.

Storage

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 48 hours in the fridge. Keep refrigerated below 4°C.
