Chocolate and salted caramel bites

These delicious chocolate bites are ideal for wrapping in gift bags and giving as homemade presents this Christmas. With a salted caramel centre, they're bursting with flavour. Don't forget to sprinkle with glitter for an extra special finishing touch.

Ingredients

  • 100g Intense dark chocolate
  • 100ml double cream
  • 40g Finest salted caramel sauce
  • Gold and silver edible glitter

Method

  1. Break up the chocolate and put in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water. Stir in the double cream then pour into an ice cube tray to two-thirds full.
  2. Add a small amount of salted caramel (about ½ tsp) to the top of each “cube” and top with more melted chocolate to fill.
  3. Chill in the fridge overnight, or freeze for at least 3-4 hrs to allow the chocolate to set.
  4. Break the chocolate bites out of the tray and sprinkle with the edible glitter. If the chocolate is rough when removed from the ice cube tray, try reapplying melted chocolate to create smooth coating.
