Choc-orange espresso martini

Chocolate orange meets smooth, rich espresso in this twist on everyone's favourite evening cocktail. Vodka and coffee liqueur are mixed with rich chocolate sauce and citrusy orange zest for a simple but luxurious drink.

Ingredients

  • small handful of ice cubes
  • 25ml vodka
  • 25ml coffee liqueur
  • 25ml cooled fresh espresso coffee
  • 1 tbsp Tesco Finest chocolate sauce
  • ½ orange, zested, plus a twist to garnish
  • ¼ tsp cocoa powder

Method

  1. Add the ice to a cocktail shaker and top up with the vodka, coffee liqueur, coffee, chocolate sauce and orange zest, and shake vigorously for 30 secs.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe glass (see tip, below), dust with cocoa and garnish with the twist of orange.
    • Tip

      To chill your cocktail glass, place in the freezer for 10 minutes. Alternatively, fill the glass with ice cubes and leave to stand for the same amount of time.
