You can get a digital Clubcard in the Tesco app. If you’ve not got the app yet, download it from the App Store or Google Play.
Getting a digital Clubcard if you have a Clubcard account
When you’ve downloaded the app, sign in to it with your Tesco account email and password.
Next you’ll need to confirm it’s you. You’ll need your Clubcard number and access to your mobile phone or landline.
If you opted into Clubcard with a mobile number, we’ll text you a 6-digit passcode.
If you opted in with a landline number, we’ll give you a passcode in an automated phone call.
You can also use the 11th to 14th digits of your Clubcard number (4 numbers in total), if you’re a member. If you opted out of Clubcard, we can send a code by text or phone call.
Getting a digital Clubcard if you don’t have a Tesco account yet
When you’ve downloaded the app, you’ll need to open a Tesco account. Use an email address and give yourself a password.
In the app, you can see how many points you have, find your nearest store, scan your digital Clubcard and get special offers.
Also, with a digital rather than plastic Clubcard, you can:
- Scan your Clubcard to get Clubcard Prices and spend less in-store
- Add coupons to your Clubcard to use in-store and online
- Keep all your points and vouchers in 1 place
- Check how many points you have
- Collect points and turn them into vouchers
- Make shopping lists to help find what you need in-store
- Check if something’s in-stock at your local store.
To scan your card in the app, you’ll need to be in either the ‘Clubcard’ or ‘Home’ screen. Choose one of these icons at the bottom of the screen.
In the Clubcard section
- Select the Clubcard image saying 'Tap to scan’. This opens your Clubcard code.
- Adjust your phone brightness if you need to, then scan the code at the checkout.
- If it doesn’t work, select ‘Code not scanning’ and scan the barcode.
- Barcode not scanning? Type your Clubcard number in at the checkout instead.
In the Home section
At the top of the screen, select ‘Shop in-store’. Then follow the 4 steps mentioned above.
Adding your Clubcard to your mobile wallet
This lets you access your digital card even if you don’t have a phone or Wi-Fi signal.
- Select the ‘Home’ icon.
- On the top-right of the homepage, select the person icon for your ‘Account’ page.
- Select ‘Clubcard management’.
- Select ‘Add Clubcard’ to add it your Android (Google Wallet) or iOS (Apple Wallet) device.
Finding your Clubcard number in the app
Select the Clubcard image saying ‘Tap to scan’. You’ll find the number under the Clubcard code.
You’ll also find it if you select the person icon for your ‘Account’ page. It’s at the top of the ‘Account’ screen.
