Our weight loss management service is available to adults aged from 18 to 75 years old (Wegovy), or to 84 years old (Mounjaro), in the following cases:
- If you have a BMI of over 30, we may prescribe injectable medication.
- If you have a BMI of between 27 and 30, with at least one weight-related condition (hypertension, dyslipidemia, obstructive sleep apnoea, type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, and cardiovascular disease). In this case, we will need a letter from your GP stating that you have been previously diagnosed with a weight-related condition, in order to prescribe you injectable medication.
- If you have a BMI of between 27 and 30, without a weight-related condition, we may discuss other weight loss treatment or support.
If you're unsure, calculate your BMI using the NHS England BMI calculator. This will also be calculated during your initial consultation by a Tesco Pharmacist, who will assess your suitability.
