Description

Verbena 'Showboat Purple Fizz' produces large purple flower clusters edged in white, flowering from May to October and attracting pollinators. Resistant to powdery mildew and tolerant of hot weather, it suits containers, hanging baskets and borders, reaching about 30–35 cm. Plants are supplied as super plugs in plug trays in a box — pot on into 3-inch pots with quality compost, water regularly, harden off for a week before planting out, and deadhead to prolong flowering.

Product Care InstructionsPot on plugs within 3 days of receipt. Keep plugs moist; place trays in shallow water to soak and keep rootballs moist. Use a pencil or narrow dibber to tease plugs out and pot on into 3-inch pots with quality potting-on compost. Water thoroughly after potting on. Grow in a cold-frame, large sunny windowsill or greenhouse, watering every 2–3 days (more frequently if sunny). Harden off before planting out by placing outdoors during the day and back undercover at night for 1 week. Plant out in final position after hardening off. Deadhead faded flowers to prolong flowering.
