Description

Sweet Pea ‘Charlie’s Angel’ produces large, frilled soft-lavender flowers with outstanding scent, ideal for cut flowers and show benches. This hardy variety flowers from May to August and performs reliably when regularly deadheaded. Sow seeds in pots of quality seed compost in October–November or late January–April, harden off plugs and transplant to a sunny, sheltered spot about 25cm apart, securing plants to canes or a wigwam. Water during dry spells, pinch main shoots at around 10cm to encourage bushy growth, feed with a potassium-rich liquid fertiliser to boost blooms, and deadhead faded flowers to prolong flowering.

Product Care InstructionsSow seeds in pots filled with quality seed compost during October–November or late January–April. Harden off Professional Grower Plugs before transplanting to a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil enriched with compost or manure. Plant around 10 inches (25cm) apart, securing each to canes or a wigwam. Regular watering during dry periods supports healthy growth and abundant blooms. Encourage strong, bushy plants by pinching out the top of main shoots when around 4 inches (10cm) tall. Feed with a potassium-rich liquid fertiliser to boost flowers and tie plants gently to supports as they grow. Dead-head faded flowers throughout the season to prolong flowering and maintain plant health.
