Description

Unwins Sweet Pea Seeds 'Prince Of Orange' is a modern grandiflora variety producing striking orange flowers with subtle pink highlights and a light, pleasant scent. Blooming from May to August and reaching about 1.8m, its long stems are perfect for borders, patio displays and cut flowers. Sow seeds in pots in October–November or late January–April, then transplant to a sunny, sheltered spot with moist but well-draining, organic-rich soil, spacing plants around 25cm (10in) apart and tying to supports as they grow. Pinch early shoots to encourage bushy growth, water during dry periods, dead-head spent flowers to prolong blooming, and feed with a potassium-rich liquid fertiliser for best results.

Product Care InstructionsSow seeds in pots filled with quality seed compost during October–November or late January–April. Harden off Professional Grower Plugs before transplanting to a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil enriched with compost or manure. Plant around 10 inches (25cm) apart, securing each to canes or a wigwam. Regular watering during dry periods supports healthy growth and abundant blooms. Encourage strong, bushy plants by pinching out the top of main shoots when around 4 inches (10cm) tall. Feed with a potassium-rich liquid fertiliser to boost flowers and tie plants gently to supports as they grow. Dead-head faded flowers throughout the season to prolong flowering and maintain plant health.
