Description

Marshalls Garden Redcurrant ‘Jonkheer van Tets’ is an RHS award-winning variety that produces large, sweet berries with a pleasant bursting texture. Supplied as a 3L standard-trained plant with a single clear stem and formed fruiting head, it stands at approximately 1m tall and makes a striking focal point in beds or kitchen gardens. Grow in moderately fertile, well-drained, moisture-retentive soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH and in full sun. Harvest begins in early summer and fruit is excellent fresh or for jams, jellies and puddings. Care: trim vigorous non-fruiting shoots back to the head size in July and prune shoots by half or to the desired head size in winter. Expected planting period is November to April.
