Description

Marshalls Garden Moneymaker is a classic cordon tomato valued for reliable, abundant crops of sweet, medium-sized fruits carried on heavy trusses. Its space-saving habit makes it ideal for greenhouses or sunny outdoor plots, and plants continue cropping well into autumn. Sow seeds indoors January–April in peat-free seed compost, cover lightly and keep warm and humid until germination; prick out and pot on, then transplant after all risk of frost. Grow in moist, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun, provide canes or strings for support, and harvest throughout the summer and into late season. Seeds are supplied in an airtight, illustrated packet with sowing and growing advice.

Product Care InstructionsTomatoes are one of the most popular and rewarding crops to grow, producing sweet, juicy fruits perfect for salads, sauces, and cooking. With a little warmth and light, you can raise healthy plants from seed and enjoy harvests throughout summer and autumn. Indoor Sowing Sow seeds indoors from January to April. Use trays or small pots filled with peat-free seed compost, sowing thinly and covering with 1cm of compost or vermiculite. Water gently to settle, then cover with a clear lid or clingfilm to maintain humidity. Place trays in a warm, bright spot such as a heated greenhouse or sunny windowsill. After Germination Once Professional Grower Plugs appear, remove the cover and keep the compost moist but not waterlogged. If growing on a windowsill, rotate trays regularly to stop Professional Grower Plugs leaning towards the light. When Professional Grower Plugs are large enough to handle, prick out into individual pots to continue growing on. Planting Out Transplant into larger pots, growbags, or directly into the soil once all risk of frost has passed. Provide canes or strings for cordon varieties and keep plants in a warm, sheltered spot for the best yields.
