Description

Marshalls Garden Linum grandiflorum 'Rubrum' (garden flax) produces a fantastic display of bright scarlet flowers that enliven sunny beds and containers. Easy to grow and low maintenance, it flowers from mid-summer to late autumn and reaches approximately 40cm. Sow outdoors thinly into well-drained, weed-free soil broken down to a fine tilth; rake to cover to about 3mm. Sow in spring for flowering the same year or, in milder areas, sow in autumn for the following year, then thin seedlings to around 15cm apart. Best grown in full sun; deadhead regularly to extend the bloom period.
