Description

Marshalls Garden Gardener's Delight cordon tomato seeds produce intensely flavoured, sweet cherry tomatoes on long trailing vines suited to pots, growbags or the garden. Sow under protection from January to April using peat-free seed compost, cover lightly and keep warm and bright; seedlings usually appear in 2–3 weeks. Prick out and transplant on once large enough, then move outside after the risk of frost; provide canes or strings as plants can reach about 1.8m. Prefers full sun and moist, fertile, well-drained soil for the best yields and scent of summer greenhouse tomatoes.

Product Care InstructionsSow seeds indoors from January to April. Use trays or small pots filled with peat-free seed compost, sowing thinly and covering with 1cm of compost or vermiculite. Water gently to settle, then cover with a clear lid or clingfilm to maintain humidity. Place trays in a warm, bright spot such as a heated greenhouse or sunny windowsill. Once Professional Grower Plugs appear, remove the cover and keep the compost moist but not waterlogged. If growing on a windowsill, rotate trays regularly to stop Professional Grower Plugs leaning towards the light. When Professional Grower Plugs are large enough to handle, prick out into individual pots to continue growing on. Transplant into larger pots, growbags, or directly into the soil once all risk of frost has passed. Provide canes or strings for cordon varieties and keep plants in a warm, sheltered spot for the best yields.
