Description

Marshalls Garden Mirch Masala produces a heavy crop of medium-hot, downward-facing chillies that mature to a deep red on semi-erect plants. Ideal for containers or outdoor beds, this adaptable variety adds heat to curries, stir-fries, sauces, soups and salads. Sow seeds early in a warm, bright spot; pot on when plugs have two true leaves and harden off plants for 7–14 days before planting out. Plant 1cm deep with 30cm between plants and rows, keep soil moist but not waterlogged, and feed with a high-potash fertiliser as fruits develop. Harvest green for a crisp flavour or leave to ripen for a sweeter, red chilli.
