Description

Marshalls Garden Spring Rapini is a very early broccoli that crops in approximately 60 days and delivers exceptional flavour. All parts are edible, from thinnings for salads to green-budded florets that can be eaten raw or sautéed. Sow little and often for a continuous supply; start seeds in modules with one seed per cell, keep compost moist and harden off seedlings for 7–14 days before transplanting. Transplant into fertile, well-drained soil with about 45cm spacing, and protect plants from pests with brassica collars and netting. Harvest the main head first, then enjoy smaller side shoots for several weeks; this variety is suitable for containers, raised beds and small plots and is rich in vitamins A and C and beta carotene.
