Description

Desiree is a dependable maincrop red potato from Marshalls Garden, awarded the RHS AGM and prized by home growers and cooks alike. Its red skins and contrasting yellow flesh melt in the mouth, making it ideal for creamy mash and baking—skins also crisp up nicely when roasted. Produces heavy yields and tolerates drought, with resistance to powdery scab for cleaner, blemish-free tubers. Stores well in cool, dry conditions after autumn harvest; harvest around 18 weeks after spring planting and protect emerging shoots with horticultural fleece if late frosts are forecast.
