Krupnik Old Likier Miodowy (pronounced KROOP-neek) is a hundred-year-old Polish liqueur, the roots of which date back to the 16th and 17th centuries, where the first mentions of Krupnik come from. As such, it has been a traditional drink in Poland for centuries.

Originally produced by monks as a medicine, it quickly found its way onto the tables of Polish noble families. After distillation, the spirit goes through a unique oneand a unique maturation process in open oak vats for a minimum of 30 days. Usually, however, the aging time is extended many times. The distillate is combined with the highest quality honey from regional apiaries and special, spicy and herbal tinctures. To complete the unique character, macerates of cocoa, ginger, cinnamon and cloves are added. According to the recipe, various types of honey are combined in specially selected proportions of multi-floral and buckwheat honey (as much as 200 g of honey per liter of Spices)

Today, it is still produced according to old recipes and matures by aging in oak vats. It owes its harmonious taste to specially selected types of real honey and herbal tinctures. It is characterized by a unique honey-sweet taste and a spicy bouquet with a strong, warming effect. No other honey liqueur on the market is matured in oak vats. Amber color with golden flashes, complex aroma with noticeable notes of cinnamon, ginger and cloves, sweet, thick and warming taste of spices and honey.

A skillful combination of centuries-old tradition with modern production methods has resulted in an excellent liqueur, which is best drunk warm in winter, iced in summer, and tastes great in combination with hot tea or coffee. It is traditionally eaten as a digestive aid, but can also be used in smoothies or added to desserts for extra flavor.
