For the eighth release in the Master Blender Collection, Mount Gay Master Blender Trudiann Branker chose to highlight the influence of tropically ageing rum in casks that previously held cognac. ​

The result is a rich and opulent blend that reveals layers of flavour with every sip. On the nose, The Cognac Cask Expression rum offers an inviting bouquet of red fruits, vanilla, leather, and a touch of orange zest. The palate is a harmonious medley of cherry, salted caramel, brown sugar, and oak. The long finish carries a pleasant sweetness, underscored by the signature dryness imparted by the French oak casks.
