Torabhaig - The Legacy Series #2 Batch Strength - Allt Gleann Whisky Torabhaig is a new distillery that blends traditional and contemporary approaches. The first distillery to be built on Skye in 190 years, it has been fully operational since January 2017. They distil in beautiful copper stills as you would expect, but chose to ferment in traditional wooden washbacks that add complexity of flavour in the whisky.This limited release is a bolder expression of Allt Gleann and will close the Allt Gleann chapter of the Legacy Series. Bottled unreduced, it shows the confidence we have in the quality of the whisky and highlights the strength of the signature style.Tasting Notes:Nose: Typically Torabhaig with bonfire smoke, peat, and light, sweet, vanilla-led oaky spice.Palate: More smoke, salinity, maltiness and quite an obvious wood spice with subtle grain, capsicum, and green apple touches. Weighty peat embers, a touch of cedar and sawdust.Finish: More oaky spice with a tickle of fire.
