Benromach - Contrasts - Organic Single Malt Scotch 2015 9 year old Whisky Did you know that Benromach were the first Scotch whisky to be certified as organic by the UK Soil Association?Benromach achieved this accolade almost 20 years ago, in 2006, and they are proud of the hard work and dedication that goes into making Organic, one of the on-going small batch releases within the Benromach Contrasts range.Distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2024, Organic has matured for 9 years in Virgin Oak, meaning the casks have not previously contained anything else which leads to a malty, banana and cocoa flavour profile.In contrast to our Benromach core range, Organic uses unpeated barley so the characteristics are not smoky but instead have more creamy pepper, toasted malt and freshly ground coffee notes.
