Glen Ord - The Singleton - Speyside Single Malt Scotch 40 year old Whisky A truly elegant grand finale to the Epicurean Odyssey. This deeply decadent malt began as a flavoursome 12 year old whisky, which was then transferred to a series of rum casks to double mature for nearly three decades. To enhance the base notes of luscious dark chocolate and sun ripened fruit, the whiskies were married in precious Solera casks of Zacapa XO and Royal rum, for a luxuriously smooth expression – delicate, sweet, exotic and outstandingly smooth, the 40 year old is a maximalist in time, craft and flavour.Tasting NotesComplexly layered notes suggest pears slathered indulgently in dark chocolate and caramelised tropical fruits.
