Bunnahabhain - Manzanilla Cask Finish Single Malt 2008 11 year old Whisky From Distell's Limited Release series comes a rather tasty Bunnahabhain that has been matured in Manzanilla Sherry casks. Distilled in 2008 and initially matureed in American Oak barrels, this has spent a finishing period in ex Manzanilla Sherry casks, a variety of Fino Sherry made around the port of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia. These casks have added a fruity, sweet and nutty character to the whisky Tasting Notes Colour - Amber Gold Nose - Salted caramel, creamy berries, rich oak, honeyed cashew nuts, dried fruit and spice. Palate - Pleasing overtones of dried fruti and figs, tumbling with subtle notes of sweet malt, candied fruti, rich oak and toffee. Finish - Dried fruits with salted caramelk.
