Bunnahabhain - Signatory Vintage 35th Anniversary - Single Cask #2588 1978 45 year old Whisky This single cask Scotch Whisky was distilled at Bunnahabhain Distillery, on islay, on the 3rd April 1978. The new spirit was filled into an Oloroso Sherry Butt, cask number 2588, where it remained until bottling in 2023.A lovely dark amber in colour, the 45 years in cask have created a beautifully rich liquid with ripe rasins, sweet nougat and hints of old cigar box. The mouthfeel is luscious and expansive with a long, satisfying finish. The colour of the whisky reflects only the natural impact from the cask maturation.The whisky was disgorged and bottled under the distillery manager Andrew Symington in the town of Pitlochry on the 5th October 2023.
