Only 660 bottles were released, bottled at cask strength following 22 years of maturation in a single ex-PX Sherry puncheon.Distilled 18/11/1994Bottled 11/2016Natural Colour and non chill filtered and natural cask strength of 53.2% ABVTasting Notes:Nose - Mixed peel and stem ginger syrup give afresh balance to dark raisins and sour plums.Palate - Rich dark chocolate floods over richly stewed plums and prune syrup, contrasted by crisp orange zest and vibrant oak spices.Finish - Huge and complex with unctuous rich Sherry oak and deep fruitcake. Long and rewarding!A stunning release from this ever reliable distillery, epic and bold yet ultimately beautifully balanced and worth every penny when you consider the cost of a certain distillery and their 20 year old+ sherry cask releases, so you could say great value for money really.
