Benriach - Albariza Peated Pedro Ximenez Sherry Finish 2nd Edition Single Malt Scotch 22 year old Whisky The Albariza name comes from the typical white soil used for growing grapes in the production of sherry in the Andalucia region of Southern Spain.This whisky is at first matured in American oak casks before being finished in Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks.The 22 year old is the second batch of The Albariza after the 18 year old releaseBottled at natural colour and non chill filtered, the "Albariza' is available on a strictly limited basis.Nose Sweet dates and ripe fogs engulfed in a unique heather honeyed peat smoke, softening to hints of ripped herbs and sweet barley.Palate: A sweet, sherried character holds lashings of vanilla, chocolate and rum-soaked raisins; all drenched with waves of intense campfire peat reek and a subtle white pepper and stem ginger warmth.
