Bowmore - The Devils Casks Batch #2 Islay Single Malt Scotch 10 year old Whisky The much sought after second Devils cask release from Bowmore which actually tastes sweeter than the 1st edition!Nose: Dark chocolate, treacle, crystalised ginger, wet earthy roots/forest floor notes, rum bhaba, dark orange, star anise, new leather, polished oak and a whiff of coastal smoke and plenty of sweet sherry.Palate: Old fashioned ginger cake, dark honey, earthy-tobacco smoke, fig jam on brown toast, winter spices.Finish: Sticky peanut brittle, smoked treacle, dark figs soaked in sweet sherry, big and chewy spiced oak and charred orange rind.The devil always gets the best drams, a big and bold Bowmore with distinctive dark smoke and sweet sherry character.
